The 2018 Dublin Local Committee Members:
Kerrie Drum- LC President
My name is Kerrie Drum and I am studying a Masters in Biomedical Engineering in UCD. I decided to join the IAESTE Ireland LC because I did an internship in Tunisia in the summer of 2016, and I saw how enjoyable a traineeship could be, as a result of the LC’s involvement. I want to make sure that the students who come to Ireland have an exciting and worthwhile experience just like I did!
Edwin Henry- LC Connect Coordinator
My name is Edwin Henry and I am studying Chemical Engineering in UCD. During my IAESTE internship in Chine the Chinese local committee were a big help and made my stay in China much more enjoyable. I joined the IAESTE Ireland Local Committee as I wanted to help international interns coming to Ireland have an enjoyable time while also meeting new people from across the world.
Hi I’m Sean I’m a final year chemistry student in UCD. Last summer I had the amazing opportunity to complete an IAESTE internship in Brazil. This made me want to get involved in the local committee here in Ireland as I know how important the Local Committee is to your IAESTE experience!
Hey, my name is Fiona. I’m from Sligo and I’m currently in my third year of Physics with Astronomy and Space Science degree at University College Dublin. I went on an IAESTE traineeship in the summer of 2017 to Prague and had a lot of fun so I’m eager to get more people involved with IAESTE as a Dublin LC member.
Hi, my name is Mairéad and I am in my fourth year of college, studying electronic engineering. I spent an amazing summer in Warsaw last year as part of the IAESTE internship program, meeting great people and getting to travel to new places, all while gaining invaluable work experience. I’ve now joined the Local Committee in Dublin to stay involved with IAESTE and to welcome students from all over the world to Ireland for their internships!
My name is Niamh Fahy and I am studying Mechanical Engineering in DIT. I went on an IAETSE internship to Croatia in the summer of 2016. It was one of the best experiences of my life and the people I met there were incredible. I was inspired by Croatia’s Local Committee to join the Ireland’s Local Committee because they were so welcoming and I truly made great friends with them, so I thought the same could apply to Ireland!
